AHLEM X JORDEN BICKHAM - Ahlem
A limited-run collaboration seeking to communicate a message of solidarity and promote equal rights for all humans, regardless of situation and background. Proceeds from the sale of The Jorden will be donated to G.L.I.T.S. NYC, providing TLGBQIA+ and BIPOC individuals with access to healthcare and housing services, among other basic human rights.
Ahlem first crossed paths with New York-based stylist, creative director, and fashion editor Jorden Bickham in 2017, when Ahlem was a candidate for a CFDA prize.
Though their interaction was fleeting, it left an impression: Ahlem was struck by Jorden’s luminous calm and sense of purpose. Recalling that radiant energy years later as she prepared to launch the collaboration, Ahlem sensed that Jorden was someone to approach. As usual, intuition paid off. Over far-ranging conversations, the pair discovered a common language—including a shared interest in social and political justice. Both being congenital doers, it wasn’t long before a plan was formed: To pool their talents on a limited-run collaboration and donate the proceeds to an organization fighting systems of oppression and discrimination.
A longtime ally of the queer community, Jorden suggested the partnership benefit G.L.I.T.S (Gays and Lesbians Living in a Transgender Society), an NYC-based nonprofit providing TLGBQIA and BIPOC individuals with access to healthcare and housing services, among other basic human rights.
